Elm Street bridge reopens Monday after six weeks of repairs
The Elm Street bridge will reopen to traffic Monday at 6 a.m., ending six weeks of repairs. One lane will stay closed through Wednesday while crews finish paving.
Until then, drivers should keep using the Oak Avenue detour. Pedestrians can cross on the temporary walkway on the north side of the bridge.
Questions about the project can go to the Westbrook Public Works office at Town Hall, open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
